Pure Chaos

I once looked at the pure chaos of my bouncing/interacting letters applets (there's more than one) and then learned image buffering (see my Hello World applet), and I realized I could put any image in the background with it. Well, how could I add to the chaos better than to put a complex fractal like the Mandelbrot set in the background? That wasn't quite enough, though. You'll find that as you're clicking and dragging, trying to catch and throw letters, if you miss, the background will change. Clicking on the background zooms out by a factor of three, and dragging makes a rectangle around part of the background and when you release, it will zoom in and render only the part you boxed. Not a very cohesive program, but you have to admit, it's pretty chaotic.
